A Conversation with FaithBridge

This morning, I had the opportunity to meet with Sophia over coffee and learn more about the tremendous impact this organization is mking the lives of children, foster families, and young adults aging out of foster care.

Sophia Dizon, Manager of Annual Gifts at FaithBridge, was so sweet to invite me to visit the FaithBridge office. We enjoyed coffee on the Jackson Healthcare campus at the “Coliseum”. You have probably seen this building off Northwinds Parkway. There are numerous non-profits on the campus at Jackson Healthcare.

Coffee at the Coliseum:

FaithBridge began in 2007 and has continued to grow and expand its mission over the years. In particular, the past five years have brought exciting new opportunities, including FaithBridgeU, which provides training and resources to help equip foster and adoptive parents, and FaithBridge Youth Opportunities, which surrounds young adults transitioning from foster care with Life Coaches, educational support, and practical resources as they work toward independence.

I was especially moved by the idea that support doesn't simply end when a young person ages out of foster care. FaithBridge continues walking alongside these young adults as they pursue education, careers, housing, and the life skills necessary to build a successful future. As of March 2026, FaithBridge reports that 598 former foster youth have received life coaching through Youth Opportunities.

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to learn more about FaithBridge and its work, and I’m excited that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of my artwork will be donated to support its mission.
