Inspired in part by The Seven Storey Mountain, this painting speaks to the spiritual journey that accompanies life’s greatest challenges. The layered peaks symbolize the obstacles encountered, while the light of faith emerges through the darkness.

Inspiration
The Quiet Divide was inspired by Thomas Merton’s The Seven Storey Mountain. The book is a profound reflection on faith, preserverance, and transformation and a journey toward humility, grace and a deeper relationship with God.
More than a depiction of rock and sky; this painting reflects the spritual journey rising from darkness toward the light of the summit - a reminder of hope, faith, and grace.
